COS Perfumery Auburn Eau de Parfum, priced at $99

If you enjoy luxurious fragrances with flavorsome hints such as vanilla, then this one will surely appeal to you. Despite being marketed by the brand as having a woodsy character, I would disagree with that description. The fragrance tends towards richness over cleanliness, featuring strong accents of coffee, spicy resins, and aromatic cloves which dominate over the presence of sandalwood. This isn’t necessarily negative; in fact, it adds warmth and depth, evoking images of someone wrapped up in antique fur garments. Over time, as the perfume settles, the sweeter elements subside revealing subtle undertones of tobacco, adding an air of sophistication akin to entering a cozy whisky lounge. Amongst various scents available, Auburn stands out for its longevity. A few sprays onto my coat several days back continue to leave traces on the cuffs. — Jacqueline Kilikita, director of beauty

COS Perfumery Fleuriste Eau de Parfum, priced at $99

I got a sniff of Fleuriste At a press preview event, I was eager to try this out for myself. Perfume creator Nathalie Lorson described it as feeling like 'stepping into a flower shop,' where various floral arrangements blend seamlessly with the atmosphere—a description that perfectly captures its essence. The fragrance opens with strong aromas of magnolia, rose, and peony, yet these scents are complemented by invigorating hints of pink peppercorns, bergamot, and mandarin in the initial burst, giving it a freshness reminiscent of newly picked blossoms rather than traditional heavy florals. Base notes of sandalwood and musk provide depth, evoking images of sturdy plant stalks and foliage. It stands out among contemporary fragrances due to how uniquely it portrays fresh flowers, enhanced further by its remarkable staying power." — Venus Wong, senior writer

COS Perfumery Solaire Eau de Parfum, priced at $99

“I have to admit, Solaire This particular fragrance isn’t my most preferred from the lineup—but it remains stunningly attractive, highlighting the opulence of the entire collection. While black pepper and incense lead the aroma profile, they take a back seat to a stronger floral presence due to the inclusion of styrax, a rich white blossom. To me, it exudes freshness and lightness akin to jumping into crisp, folded laundry or enjoying premium soaps found only in exclusive Manhattan hotels. A subtle hint of musk imbues it with a gentle, almost bare-skinned warmth reminiscent of a soothing embrace. For best effect, I recommend layering this one with Fleuriste, my absolute favorite; however, considering their cost at $99 apiece, purchasing two might warrant some deliberation. At these prices, particularly since brands like Zara and & Other Stories provide comparable quality fragrances much more affordably, it does seem somewhat pricey for what essentially falls under casual wear apparel branding. — Jacqueline Kilikita, the beauty editor

COS Perfumery Mythe Eau de Parfum, priced at $99

I'm not particularly fond of fragrances with an earthy scent, but smelling Mythe On my wrists, this fragrance has prompted me to reconsider my long-held beliefs. Unlike the strong, earthy aroma commonly associated with such scents, this one stands out differently. The vetiver element initially gives off a robust, root-like essence, yet zesty ginger and green cardamom swiftly introduce an invigorating and enigmatic twist. Once Mythe melds with your skin, it evolves into a gentle, woodsy conclusion featuring notes of violet and amyris—a woody component sourced from incense. In my experience, it exudes the freshness akin to just-showered skin. Given how much time I've spent lately in warm, moist environments, I find myself continuously applying it because it’s among the scant fragrances I enjoy amid high temperatures. Its compatibility for layering underlines its versatility; particularly when paired with Fleuriste." — Venus Wong, senior writer
